What choices do you have?

When it comes to your health, what choices do you have?

That may sound like a random question, but typically our health determines many of our choices in life, each and everyday.

One thing I discovered from losing my health a number of years ago was the limitations that were put on my life. The basics things became a challenge and anything exciting, adventurous, outgoing and truly enjoyable were not even an option.

How blessed are we when we don’t have to make a choice as to whether we can walk the dog, mow the lawn, hang out the washing, or make a bed for example, let alone decide if to go for a bike ride, a swim, visit an amusement park or go hiking?

The quality of our health determines what choices we can and can’t make and often our ability to help others and experience valuable moments in life.

How amazing it is to be able to help a friend move? Or teach a child to ride a bike? Or hike to a beautiful location to witness and incredible view? Or even just to live each day with ease and not even have to think if you can do a specific task?

This is one of the key reasons why I continually promote the value of health. I know what it is like to have to analyse how much you and can’t do each day and to miss out on living, plus watch your loved ones miss out too.

I am not one for promoting an all or nothing healthy lifestyle. I learnt the hard way that focusing too much on being healthy can become unhealthy. However, by making daily choices that benefit your health allows for more choices in life. And who doesn’t want to live a life of choice!

What daily choice can you make each day to benefit your future choices in life?
